The Red Bank Police Department recently added a second canine team to its K-9 Unit. Ptl. Tanner Shea and his Belgain Malinois Eko now join K-9 Hunter, also a Belgian Malinois, and his handler Ptl. Stanley Balmer. These canine teams are cross trained for patrol and narcotics detection and have been used on numerous occasions to track wanted subjects and on many occasions for scent detection during narcotics investigations. The Red Bank Police canine unit is always available to do demonstrations for school groups or other interested organizations.
