HPC had been working to honor borough residents who-through the historic preservation of their building or home-made a positive contribution to the character of Red Bank. John Smallwood (winner in Professional category) generously hosted an awards reception at his beautifully renovated office at 199 Broad on September 15, 2015.
The Annual Preservation Award (in four categories) acknowledges the vision and hard work it takes to preserve a building. For this, the inaugural year, the HPC nominated and voted on those to be honored. Going forward, this is an inclusive event so residents may nominate neighbors and encourage the preservation of our historic structures.
The 2015 Categories and Honorees are:
Residential home: 65 Wallace Street Victorian, Paul and Nancy Cagno
Professional Office: 199 Broad Street (Smallwood Wealth Mgmt), Mr. and Mrs. John Smallwood
Commercial/Industrial: February 8, 2010 Broad Street - Urban Outfitters, Inc., Richard A. Hayne, Pres. and CEO
