Animal Licenses

Borough Ordinances require that all dogs and cats seven (7) months of age or older be licensed.  All dog/cat licenses expire on December 31 of the licensing year.  

FEES:

  • $15 for spayed/neutered dogs and cats.  Proof from veterinarian must be shown.
  • $18 for dogs/cats that have not been spayed or neutered.
  • All licenses renewed after February 28th of the following licensing year will be charged an additional $5 late fee.

PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATION:

New Jersey State Statute requires that proof of rabies vaccination, good through at least ten months of the licensing year, must be shown in order to obtain a license.  This means rabies certificates must be good through the end of October of the licensing year or an update must be done before a license can be issued.
