Powers & Duties

The Parks and Recreation Committee shall study and make recommendations regarding recreation affecting Borough residents and undertake such projects as requested by the governing body. Also, the Committee shall, from time to time as it deems desirable:

  • Recommend action to improve, maintain, equip and staff the playgrounds and recreation places of the Borough.
  • Recommend recreational programs, activities, exhibitions, games, contests and the like for the recreation of residents.
  • Recommend the adoption of suitable rules, regulations and bylaws for the use of Borough recreational facilities and the conduct of all persons while on or using same.
  • Recommend the acquisition of property for recreation purposes.
