Police Department Service DivisionThe Service Division is comprised of the Records Bureau and Communications. They are under the command of Capt. Thomas McDonough. The Records Bureau maintains records of all police incidents and is the custodian of all evidence confiscated or turned over to the police department. The Service Division does the licensing and investigation for Alcohol Beverage Control permits and complaints as well as the licensing of taxi cabs.
The Service Division also coordinates the communication of all radio and telephone conversation. This division also monitors the use of the police department’s detention facilities.
