Marine Park Construction Begins

posted: Friday, September 4, 2009 at 9:52 AM
Mr. Stanley Sickels
Borough Administrator
The long awaited reconstruction of the bulkhead area and marina in Marine Park has begun. Construction trailers are in place and an 8’ high construction fence securing the construction areas was installed today. The fenced in area includes a portion of the parking lot which will serve as a staging area for material and contractor equipment.

The work is being performed by J. Fletcher Cramer & Son, Inc. of Linden New Jersey, the successful bidder under contract with the Department of the Environmental Protection. Engineering and construction supervision will be performed by the DEP.

Access to the playground and tennis courts will be maintained during construction.
However, there will be no access available to the bulkhead and fishing.

It is hoped that construction will be complete by next summer, weather permitting.
