I have nominated long time Red Bank resident, John Grandits to our Library Board of Trustees. I am grateful that John has accepted my invitation to serve on the Board of Trustees. He will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Library and its operations.

Our Library has his published books on its shelves!

John is the author of The Travel Game; Technically its not My Fault: Concrete Poems; and, Blue Lipstick: Concrete Poems.

John is an accomplished children’s book author and is a true Red Banker. His books have received high praise for their notable impact on children and their interest in learning more about books and reading. Among others, he has received the National Parenting Publication Book Award and School Library Journal Best Books of the Year Award.

John’s interest in education and books is natural. His mother operated a college book store; his father was a printer; his wife Joanne is employed as children’s librarian in the Ocean County Library System; and his son was a shelver at the Library when he was in school. Books are in his blood.

He brings a wealth of information and energy to our Board. He is another example of the best and the brightest who live in Red Bank.
