Congratulations to the Board of Trustees, the Staff and members of the Friends of the Red Bank Library for hosting their first reception at the Library on February 5th. The event was attended by well over 130 members of our community to show support for our Library and to encourage the work of the Trustees and the Friends Group.

A special appreciation is extended to our Librarian, Deborah Griffin-Sadel and her staff, to our new Board President, Bridget McCarthy and the Board, and outgoing President Lauren Nicosia for their work and dedication, as well as my representative to the Board, Rosemary Kopka and Councilwoman Sharon Lee. I was, as always graced to be joined at the event by another enthusiastic leader of Red Bank, our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Laura Morana; whose commitment and partnership with our Library is to be commended as a model for all communities.

The formation of the Friends of the Library Group demonstrates an innovative and exciting new avenue for us as a community to spotlight the best that we have in Red Bank. I am so grateful to those members of our community who have joined and encourage others to consider becoming a friend of the Library. Information concerning membership in the Friends of the Library can be secured by calling the staff at our Library or better yet, by visiting and talking to our dedicated library employees.
