The Red Bank Office of Vital Statistics maintains records of Births, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Unions and Domestic Partnerships for events that occured in Red Bank only. Certified copies of these may be obtained in person during regular business hours, by mail or ordered through the State of New Jersey Vital Statistics website. Red Bank Vital Records does not accept credit cards or online orders. If you would like to expedite your request, we recommend you overnight your request and include a pre-paid return overnight envelope. Marriage/Civil Union & Domestic Partnership Applications
Applications for Marriages/Civil Unions for Red Bank residents are done by appointment only. Please call 732-530-2755 to make an appointment and to review what is required at the time of application. Applicants must show valid photo identification (such as driver's license or passport) and proof of Red Bank address (if it is not on their driver's license). Suggested additional documents include birth certificates (passport can be used as substitute) and, if either applicant has been married or in a Civil Union previously, they should bring divorce/dissolution papers or a death certificate to prove the termination of the prior marriage/civil union. Please be advised, there is a 72-hour waiting period between the time of application and the time the license can be issued. Applications can be taken up to six months before the ceremony date. Applications for Domestic Partnerships (available only to individuals 62 years and older) for any New Jersey resident are also done by appointment only. Please call 732-530-2755 to make an appointment and to find out what is required at the time of application.
