[ARCHIVED] Important Information Concerning Brush & Leaf Collection

Borough residents are reminded that brush pick up has officially ended for 2018. As a courtesy to residents, DPU will be collecting remaining brush on the following dates:

  • October 25, 2018 for residents West of Broad Street.
  • November 1, 2018 for residents East of Broad Street.

Brush is not permitted to be placed at the curb before the weekend prior to the pickup date.

Effective immediately the modified 2018 leaf schedule is as follows:

  • Residents West of Broad Street will have leaves collected on November 15, 2018 and December 13, 2018
  • Residents East of Broad Street will have leaves collected November 21, 2018 and December 20, 2018.

Leaves are not permitted to be placed at the curb before the weekend prior to the pickup date.

Brush and leaf schedules will be strictly enforced. Brush and leaves placed at the curb outside of the schedule will not be collected. Brush is also not permitted to be mixed in with leaf piles - leaf piles containing brush will not be collected. Code Enforcement will issue violation notices for non-compliance. Future changes to brush and leaf pickup in 2019 will be announced to make both processes more efficient and environmentally friendly.
